Course Aims
This course is part of the Careskills Train the Trainer Programme. It will teach students how to manage the training environment and get the best teaching results from their learners. There are no specific entry requirements, and students do not need to have prior teaching practice hours to achieve this qualification which is suitable for students 19 years of age and above.
The level 3 Award in Education and Training (L3AET) or Level 3 Train the Trainer Course is an accredited qualification suitable for individuals who:
- are not yet in a teaching role (pre-service)
- are in a teaching role, or who have just started a teaching role (in-service)
- want a short qualification
- want a qualification without a minimum teaching practice requirement
This award replaces the PTTLLS qualification and is perfect for aspiring trainers who want or need to gain the knowledge and skills in managing the training environment and gaining the knowledge, understanding and practical skills in teaching their learners.
It is particularly suitable for those entering a health and social care workplace training role but also excellent professional development for existing trainers if they do not have an accredited teaching qualification.
The training is delivered through a Blended Learning system where theory and knowledge are completed online and then a qualified and experienced Assessor will support them through assessment and observation of teaching practice.
