About this course

This is a lighter mandatory training course for health and social care staff that carry out responsibilities at level 2 standard of working practices.

It is for staff working  in settings such as Care Homes, Hospital Wards, Day Centres, or supporting an individual in their own home.

Health and social care workers have a ‘duty of care’ to ensure that the individuals they support take their medication safely and with no error.

This course will teach practices for:

  • Level 1: Prompt and assist with medication
  • Level 2: Administration of medication

Knowledge and awareness of level 3 medication will also be given.
