About this course
This course is for staff that support children and young people to equip them with the underpinning knowledge and skills to report their concerns if they think that a child or young person is in danger or at risk of being harmed. It will support learners to act in a professional manner and ensure that the children and young people they support are safe and cared for.
This course is also useful for staff that may not support children and young people directly but may come into contact with them throughout the course of their work.
Safeguarding training applies to all health and social care workers (unpaid and voluntary) that work in settings such as Children’s Homes, Hospital Wards, Day Centres, or supporting children and young people in their own home.
