The Safeguarding of Adults Level 2 online course is designed for staff who have additional responsibilities in responding to safeguarding matters. It is assumed that staff completing level 2 training, may be a more experienced member of a team who has already completed the introductory level 1 training course. The Safeguarding of Adults Level 2 online course covers topics such as what is safeguarding, why is safeguarding so important, how to recognise the signs of abuse, how to report safeguarding concerns, the responsibilities of different safeguarding roles how to communicate effectively and how to handle safeguarding incidents and concerns.

The Safeguarding of Adults Level 3 online course is designed for staff who may have overall responsibility for Safeguarding within their organisation. For example, the Safeguarding Lead. It is assumed that learners undertaking this course will have a higher level of knowledge and responsibility in responding to Safeguarding incidents, allegations and concerns. The Safeguarding of Adults Level 3 course covers safeguarding legislation and guidance, how to contribute to assessments and investigations, organisational protocols and processes, how to support vulnerable adults and their families and how to document incidents, allegations and concerns.
