Safeguarding in schools encompasses all actions taken to protect children and young people from harm and promote their welfare.
This includes preventing all forms of abuse and neglect (physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect), ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment, responding appropriately to any concerns about a child’s well-being, and working in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies when necessary.
This course will explain the roles and responsibilities associated with safeguarding as a teacher.
