The First Aid at Work certificate lasts for three years upon completion of the course. However, the HSE recommends that first aiders should take a refresher course every year. This is because it’s important to remain up to date on any new CPR techniques and processes, legislation and procedures for first aid in the workplace.

Failure to renew your first aid at work certificate will result in your qualified first aider losing their first aid accreditation. This means they will no longer be considered competent to act as a first aider by the HSE and they will not be counted towards the required number of first aiders in your workplace. We offer both 3-Day First Aid at Work courses and First Aid Refresher courses to ensure your staff keep their certificates and knowledge up to date.
