About this course

Physical intervention can be sensitive territory, with clear frameworks needed to safeguard children and the staff caring for them.

Learners will gain an understanding of physical intervention and an ability to answer even the most difficult questions on the topic. They will also be taught a range of teaching methods and public speaking skills that will enhance their abilities as an instructor.

This Physical Intervention Train the Trainer course also allows learners to teach colleagues and other members of staff the restraint techniques that have been approved by the home or institution, a more tailored approach to physical intervention and restraint training.

What is the Train the Trainer Model?

The Train the Trainer model is a programme that aims to develop the skills and knowledge of individuals who will be responsible for training others in a specific field or industry. • Understanding the roles and responsibilities of trainers
  • Creating a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Facilitating learning and development in individuals and groups

  • Identifying different learning styles and adapting training to suit them
  • Using effective communication and questioning techniques
  • Providing constructive feedback and reinforcement to learners
  • Encouraging reflection and self-evaluation in learners
  • Developing learning materials and resources
  • Managing group dynamics and challenging situations during training.
